   About Us

Home, Love, Family is what we cherish. Our Cavaliers are part of our family. They live in and share our home with us. They are not kennel dogs. They sleep with us, watch TV on the couch with us and live a blended life with us.

Our philosophy is to ensure our Cavaliers have a balanced and happy life. Our Cavaliers are exercised daily and provided free playtime to chase dragonflies, play fetch and chase each other around the yard. Chase of course is sometimes played in the house and yes we do join in and even instigate and start the game!

Our goal at Star Spangle is to produce the most temperamentally sound, healthy and beautiful Cavaliers we can. Our Cavaliers are officially health tested. In particular our Cavaliers are cardiologist cleared of mitral valve disease within one year before the date of breeding.

Our Cavaliers are fed a commercially raw diet. We do not believe in over vaccinating and Titer our Cavaliers. We do not use chemicals on our lawn. We were thoughtful in landscaping our yard to ensure no poisonous or toxic plants were used that would be harmful or deadly to our Cavaliers. We would rather have live healthy dogs then a spectacular green lawn. We don’t let our Cavaliers roam in neighbors’ yards even when walking. You never know when a yard has been sprayed by a lawn service. Some may think we are overly protective but we would rather err on the side of caution. After all, we feel it is our responsibility to protect and ensure the safety of our beloved Cavaliers.
